So, in autumn 2000 we landscaped the backyard. it was very very boring, with nowhere to sit, really. We could put our lawn chairs on the walkway, but we'd have to move them when we wanted to walk past to take out the garbage!

What's the point of owning a home in "sunny California" if you don't get to enjoy the beautiful weather in your own backyard?

So, landscape we did. And here's the pictures...

The above 2 are "before".....and the below one is "after.

The after image is just about an identical viewing angle as for the above right image of the back end of the garage. we dramatically reduced the size of the lawn, increased the "low" bits of the back so we could have a sexy wandering flagstone path, and put in a patio with a pergola (with baby wisteria at this point) right behind the garage.
